rilled.
For 80+ years, the “secret” of recovery has stayed in the rooms of AA, passed on from person to person. While this is great, this only addresses the people who take themselves to a meeting. It does not help those of us, like me, who desperately search for answers while on the job, secretly navigating online to see if something out there can provide a clue as to what is happening to me. It is SO difficult to find good, solid sobriety information online. And again, due to certain traditions of Anonymity (read my post on that), us recovered alkies have stayed in the shadows, taking our message of recovery within our network alone.
NO MAS. I am devoted to creating an online sober tribe that spreads messages of hope, experience in recovery, and tools to get plugged into the solution. While the program is better worked one on one, and meetings and fellowship are vital to the process of recovery (please do NOT think I am saying that online tools will suffice!), there is a tremendous need for a real recovery online community.
I am so thrilled to get started on this journey. I am here and wanting to share my hope, strength and experience. And bitch with you, too. SOBER MAMI 
This is me reaching. I’m a month into my latest attempt at sobriety after a slip. Before that it was 5 months. (I could go back over every relapse but I wont bore you) I’ve started AA and private therapy but began my own blog a month ago to try and connect with others in s similar situation. Just stumbled across you, so HI!

Hello there!!! I am so grateful for your note. Every day is precious, a month is a wonderful thing to have. I had five years of solid sobriety and then relapsed over and over for TWO full years. But you know what? I kept trying and trying, until it stuck. Never stop trying. Ever. I am so glad you started AA. For me, the 12 steps and a good sponsor are VITAL. This time, I am also needing lots of self-care, silence, reading and time with God. Recovering all the parts that were lost in the madness, you know? I would love to stay in touch and help you in any way I can…. We need to hold each other hands in this process. Its a hard road but a gorgeous one, and getting to the other side is absolutely worth it.
